“Your journey with us is a voyage of discovery – of gardens, landscapes, cultures and culinary traditions – an experience rich in variety and a feast for the senses.”

At Susan Worner Tours we have over 25 years’ experience of organising journeys to some of the world’s most fascinating gardens, public and private, and less visited natural and wildlife areas. We specialise in bespoke, accompanied travel for small groups.

This may be for friends who have a shared interest in gardens and nature, or for members of a botanical society, focusing on an area of particular interest.

On our website, you will find a selection of suggested destinations that, we hope, will pique your interest. However, it is by no means the last word and we will be happy to work with you to design an itinerary to suit your preferences.

We look forward to accompanying you on new voyages of discovery over the coming months.

Our destinations

On your journey you will be accompanied by a leader or guide with excellent local knowledge. Every destination is carefully researched, and we are ready to add visits to cultural sites of interest and plan routes through areas of exceptional natural beauty and fascination according to your preference.

Visits to private gardens, often in the company of the owner or head gardener, provide a real insight into their design, execution and maintenance, and a chance to exchange ideas and pitch your questions to the experts.

We select accommodation of a high standard, often in boutique hotels. We choose restaurants where menus feature excellent, seasonal food and locally grown produce, and, where relevant, the wines of the areas we travel in.

In addition, there may be picnics al fresco, memorable meals in a garden setting, and sundowners in the wild – each journey has its special flavour.

You will find a brief overview of possible programmes for each destination by clicking on the above country blocks. For a more detailed itinerary, or to discuss any amendments you may wish to make to accommodate your particular interest, please contact us
