Some new destinations feature in our 2010 brochure, adding to our
classic tours to favourite destinations which continue to be in demand.
Firstly, the inspiringly beautiful spring gardens around Lake Como and
then, as well as our Moroccan gardens tour, we now have a Cuisine week
in Morocco in October.
Tailor-made tours for groups of friends, garden trusts and horticultural
groups are often requested – we have in-depth experience in our field
and the ability to skilfully plan an itinerary. Sometimes cuisine, wine or
walking is added. Great care and meticulous attention to detail ensures
an enjoyable, stimulating holiday for everyone.
- Our hotels are chosen because they each have something special –
small, welcoming, family owned and run. Comfortable rooms and
good cuisine are an essential part of our criteria. Extra days can be
added to a tour.
- On many occasions, the owners or head gardeners themselves
welcome us, and delight in sharing their gardens. In the Veneto we
are joined by our guide, Martina, and for the Ligurian walks by Sandro.
- For the wild flower tours, our two Swiss botanists, Beat and Adrian, are
involved in both planning and leading their respective tours with real
enthusiasm, expert knowledge and a sense of humour.
- For transport, we choose top-quality vehicles and drivers, as we know
that safety is of paramount importance.
- We are as flexible as possible with flights and try to use local regional
airports. Fully ATOL-bonded by the Civil Aviation Authority, and IPP, we
ensure your full financial protection.
- Often included is an element of a surprise extra – at no cost to the
guests.
It has been a rewarding experience over the years to share so many
people's enjoyment of some truly beautiful regions of Europe and further
afield. I look forward to welcoming you, both for the first time and the
many repeat guests, on one of our special 2010 tours.
